Colour Combos Can Make Or Break your Painting . . . by Anna Meenaghan

I know that I am a colourful character maybe because I am always surrounded by colour music. When you paint your colour choices are important. They help to bring about the mood you are trying to convey. These can completely change your painting giving the impression of heat or even a cold feel to them.

We are all charmed naturally to certain colours find they can have completely different ways of affecting others. Sometimes we use them to give us a feeling of more space.

The colours we choose in our own domains make or break the feel of our living space. Mostly people want a relaxed feel so are more likely to opt for pastel shades like blues mauves pale greens.

If you want the painting to jump out at you as it were well you need to choose vibrant colours which will intensify your work. Not only will they stir up emotions inside you but create the feeling of warmth strong heat in fact. So to let your emotions go wild I would use very bright yellows shades of orange glorious reds probably a touch of gold.

Vlaminck's artwork was fantastic. We all have mood swings sayings to reflect this. Yes we have all been feeling blue at some stage yes we have all heard these well known words. your art can also benefit from complementary colours. Here the colours change simply by what colour you place next to them.

We all like different colours also like to experhyment with new ones. Make sure that you always have a white to mix colours build up your shades from. Then of course some colours are permanent. Black you will find can block out colour. If you want to make shadows shades of brown whites or greys.

Payne's Grey is very useful colour to have. This is paint which has already been mixed. This being a mixture of Mars Black Ultramarine Blue Yellow Ochre. As a shade this is very popular being very versatile. I am sure that many artists would probably mix their own on their palettes. Artists alike find this is particularly good for watercolours.

So yes artists alike make their impact with colour. It gives them freedom.

We mix our colours in so many ways but it can assist you if you have a full knowledge of the Primary Colours the basic Colour Wheel. So I can only suggest you go to your local art supplier buy a Colour Wheel.

I have touched on mood swings related to colour in my article so now I intend to elaborate on this more fully. Certain colours can for instance bring a representation of say for example misery doom gloom. Now for me to achieve this I personally would use probably a mixture of black greys both dark or light definitely browns or a very dark blue or maroon shade.

This illustrates shades that would represent a feeling of gloom to your work although saying this it would depend then on the use of them. Just one of these colors could be used very effectively with white. So think on I am really only giving you this as an example to use

Totally Understanding the Emotional Brain by Dr. Mike Gosling

All internal or external events that occur in your life are interpreted by your brain. If in fact we have positive feelings about a life event that's equates to a Non Problem Status. & so we really only need to worry about life dramas when they create a negative emotion. Why This article the first of seven will help you understand why.

Today I'm going to share with you the importance of using your emotional brain to understand how your body reacts to events.

Randy Pausch a 47 year old college professor who recently died due to pancreatic cancer said "Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want". What is your experience of the events in your life

Dr Mike Gosling said "Life is series of events. Every event is an opportunity for change. & rom the most painful events that you change the most. " Do you agree with what Dr. Mike has said

Every life event that occurs gets interpreted by your brain. External events are received into your brain through our five senses we are constantly busily examining our internal environment alsol what's going on inside of our brain body to assess to work out what's going on in our life. If we have positive feelings about life events that's a Non Problem Status. Because when good things occur it's 'no problem' for us we don't care. In fact we feel good about it.

If in fact we have a positive feeling about a life event that's a Non Problem Status. Because when good things happen to us it's not a problem to us we don't care. In fact we feel good about it.

Every negative experience that we have results in us accumulating stress because every single emotion every negative emotion that you have is actually an Adrenalin response.

What's occuring is that your body is producing a stress response producing a chemical because our brain has interpreted some form of danger to us our well being some form of threat.

It's your body producing a stress response producing a chemical because our brain has interpreted some form of danger to us our well being some form of threat.

The Limbic System accomplishes all the feeling in the brain. This is primitive part of the brain animals have a Limbic system it responsible for our preservation instinct.

The Limbic System accomplishes all the feeling in the brain. This is primitive part of the brain animals have a Limbic system also it responsible for our preservation instinct.

The Limbic System primarily assesses using all the senses that come into the body through sight sound touch taste smell.

If you're tasting something the experience is primarily assessed by the Limbic System for danger to determine whether or not there is anything about what you are sensing that is going to be a threat to this organism that it's looking after.

So even if you're tasting something that experience is first assessed by the Limbic System for danger to see whether or not there is anything about what you are sensing that is going to cause a threat to this organism that it's looking after.

That's all for now. In my next article I'll share with you the story of the zebra; how it uses its brain to deal with danger or threat. Are we like the zebra Its all part of what I call The Science of Emotional Wealth. So be sure to keep an eye out for my articles.

Australia The Movie Reviews & Scenery

Australia The Movie Reviews & Scenery by Jennifer Schellington

Australia the Movie has recently been released onto DVD bringing with it an array of more reviews comments. If you live in Australia you probably have seen the hype surrounding Australia the Movie.

It seems to have received mixed reviews but most agree that it's got a good romantic story. Others go so far as to say to compare it with Gone with the Wind or Out of Africa which are both real epics

For most though there's some criticism that the film is just too long it needed to be cut by about half an hour. Others have said that the film really had too many themes tried to cover too much in one film it might have been better split into two parts.

Poor Nicole Kidman she seems to have been criticised the most for her role as Lady Sarah Ashley If anything Hugh Jackman's deserved more for his use or should I say over use of the word Crikey

But whatever you think about the movie you can't fail to love the scenery some of the cattle droving scenes. So where do you go in Australia to see that type of scenery

Well you should probably take a trip to Darwin if you liked the Darwin Harbour scenes. That said those scenes were actually filmed in a small town called Bowen in Queensland. Unless you are a total film buff I wouldn't necessarily make the trip to Bowen.

For the stunning outback scenes you need to head to the Kimberleys which is in the top left part of Australia. This area has a definite dry wet season so the best time to go is between May October. I really wouldn't attempt to go outside these months as many roads are closed due to flooding.

To get here you need to fly to either Broome or Kununurra. If your time here is limited then fly to Kununurra. From here you have access to the Cockburn ranges which were a big feature in the movie. You can also visit the Bungle Bungles from here too. Why not add to the experience by staying on a traditional homestead. I's recommend either El Questro or Home Valley Station. Both of these are within 3 hours of Kununurra.

If you have more time then fly to Broome. Enjoy a couple of days here incorporate a trip to Cape Leveque's secluded beaches. Then take the 3 hour drive to Broome where you can start your,4WD adventure down the Gibb River Road. The road itself is unsealed is over 700km. At the end of it you will find El Questro or Home Valley.

Unfortunately you can't visit the Faraway downs homestead which was featured in the movie as it privately owned. If you really want to see it though you can take a scenic flight.

If you fancy doing a cattle drive then you need to wait until 2010 for the Great Australian Cattle drive. You don't need any specific experience so don't worry if you are not as good as Hugh or Nicole on a horse. Access is from South Australia.

Enjoy experiencing your piece of Australia the Movie.

California Car Donation Centers by Daniel Gulberry

California car donation centers are the places you can contact when you want to donate a vehicle you no longer have a need for is cluttering up your yard. Believe it or not people in need can always use of your jetskis cars trucks motorcycles mobile homes even planes.

The California car donation centers are prepared to take down all the relevant details collect the asset provide a receiupt for tax purposes. Donating old or unused assets is considered to be a donation. This makes it eligible as a tax deduction can be claimed when you fill outyour next tax return.

Any old asset of this car can be taken away sold the money then go to the charity organization of your choice. If you don't have a organization of choice there is list provided by the donation centre you can choose where the money from your donation goes to. Old vehicles tend to get left lying around to become even more decrepit can be an unsightly addition to your lawn. Making the effort to be rid of it seems to be one of those things folk tend to dither over.

These unneeded vehicles other assets are sold by the California car donation center the money is used to buy items for people in need. It is easy to donate the vehicle too as easy as making a phone call.

Although it not quite as easy as "donate a car receive a tax deduction" this is true in many cases. Donating the car or property is the first step to take in order to be able to take advantage of a deductible event. How valuable this turns out to be how the deduction is applied depends very much on the taxpayer's individual circumstances.

The only way to make sure you are going to get a deduction if you make a car|vehicleold car donation is to consult with your taxation advisor. They are aware of your tax status whether or not the donation will be be of benefit to your status. They will also know if you should or can defer the deduction for the donation for another financial year. I don't profess to have the specific answers in terms of your individual tax situation are just providing a brief guideline.

The deduction in regards to the donation should be equal to the value of the donation. In terms of tax this is not the only thing that matters there is also your own tax bracket that has to be considered. This is why we are advising you to consult with your tax agent.

Once upon a time when the donor or the charity group could determine the value of the donation however this is no longer the case. Only the realized value when the car or other item has been auctioned is allowed to be used as a deduction.

This is the reason why it advisable you use the services of a California car donation center. They are knowledgable about what amount to ask for what assets. They are also well connected therefore able to obtain the best possible price for the donated cars. Obviously a bigger amount obtained for the item will allow the donor to receive the best tax deduction. As far as the impact of the tax bracket in the value of the deduction unfortunately California car donation centers have no control over this but your tax professional will be able to recommend the best course of action.
